Winter is the perfect time to explore a Looking for Lincoln area. The Alton/Rivers & Routes area is a great place for outdoor adventures, with the added bonus of spying our national symbol, the bald eagle.
While exploring area Lincoln sites, consider a side trip to Bald Eagle Days at Pere Marquette State Park. All programs will begin at the park's visitor center at 8:30 a.m. There is a short video presentation followed by an observational drive to view the wintering bald eagles. Dress warmly and have a full tank of gas, binoculars, water proof boots, and bring snacks/coffee.
