Celebrate Christmas where Lincoln Walked!

Starting November 27 thru December 22, 2021, the Old Capitol Holiday Walks will be every Wednesday from 4 pm - 7 pm, and Saturdays 10 am - 7 pm. Downtown Springfield Inc. presents a variety of special events each weekend throughout the holiday season. Enjoy Carriage Rides, a Mistletoe Market, performances on the Old State Capitol Plaza, Sangamon CEO Ice Skating Rink and of course Santa Claus.

Check out the Tree Lighting event on November 27th at 4:30 pm and the Jaycees Holiday Lights Parade on December 4th at 5:30 pm. This wonderful free seasonal celebration is at various locations in Downtown Springfield. Shopping, dining, and special events dot the downtown, and will be sure to get you in the Christmas spirit!
